Lita Neal is Blue Mountain Hospital Employee of the Year for 2013
Blue Mountain Hospital presented its Employee of the Year Award for 2013 to Lita Neal, during its annual Christmas Party.
Lita has been a valuable member of the hospital’s Housekeeping Department since it opened in 2009. She is the second employee to receive the coveted Employee of the Year Award, joining former Director of Clinical Services Donna Jensen, who received the award for 2012.
“It was a shocker when they announced my name,” Lita said. “I thought, ‘oh my gosh it’s me.’ I wasn’t expecting anything like this. I am very happy. I look at it every day. I think it’s neat.”
Lita is a lifelong resident of Blanding. She has one daughter and five grandchildren, who live in Phoenix, Arizona. Before joining Blue Mountain Hospital she worked fifteen years as a housekeeper for the Blanding Comfort Inn. Lita said when she first came to work for the hospital she had to learn a lot of new things, but she has really enjoyed her job.
“I like my job, especially the patients. I’m here for the patients,” Lita said. “I like meeting new people and I’ve made a lot of new friends working here.”
Along with her Employee of the Year plaque, Lita was also presented with an original photo from Blanding photographer Kay Shumway. Congratulations to Lita Neal on being named Employee of the Year for Blue Mountain Hospital. Her hard work and dedication are greatly appreciated. If you see Lita, say hello.
