Blue Mountain Hospital Foundation Board announces new fundraising project
The Blue Mountain Hospital Foundation Board of Directors has unveiled its next hospital fundraising project.
During its April meeting, the Board agreed to move ahead with the Blue Mountain Hospital Memorial Sidewalk project in which individuals purchase a brick with their name, or the name of a loved one, permanently engraved on it for future generations to see. To begin with, the bricks will be placed around the edges of existing sidewalks at Blue Mountain Hospital as a permanent border.
All proceeds from the project will be spent to upgrade the Blue Mountain Hospital Dialysis Unit. Board members said it is important to have a specific goal in mind for this fundraising project, and improving and upgrading the Dialysis Unit is a very worthwhile goal they agreed.
The cost of a 4-inch by 8-inch brick is $100. The cost of an 8-inch by 8-inch brick is $150. Bricks can be etched with personal messages of three to five lines, depending on the size.
More details about this project can be seen on page 11 of this edition. The flyer found on page 11 will also be distributed throughout the hospital and other locations as a separate flyer in the next month. The entire donation process is explained on the flyer and donations can be made simply by following the instructions on the flyer.
The Board is excited about this new project and feels it offers residents an opportunity to be involved in Blue Mountain Hospital and help improve the quality of the Dialysis Unit. For more information please see the flyer below.
