Walking Together for Healthier Nations
The 20th Annual Walk Together for Healther Nations (WTHN) walk was held last Friday, May 13, in Utah, Arizona, Colorado and New Mexico. WTHN is an event that was created to promote an active lifestyle and healthy eating, in a positive manner, among members of the Nation. For UNHS organizers, and Utah walkers, this year’s event began a mile east of the Colorado State Line on Highway 41, and featured two 3-mile intervals before reaching the Junction with Highway 160. Those who completed one three-mile interval, received a beautiful, free t-shirt. 101 walkers started from the Utah starting point. It was a fun, healthy way to focus on the need for a healthier lifestyle for men, women and children. Included here are a few photos from the walk, showing some of those who participat
ed. Those who continued on past the Highway 160 Junction were eventually joined by walkers from the other three states.
