New Employees at Blue Mountain Hospital
Asa Lyman is a Blanding native, a 2012 graduate of San Juan High School and the son of David and Ramona Lyman. After high school, Asa worked for Cosby Trucking, before serving an LDS Mission to Georgia.
He later worked for Redd Mechanical, in Blanding, where he spent four years and became an HVAC specialist. His experience gives him the background needed for the Blue Mountain Hospital Maintenance Department. He will be a nice addition to the BMH family.
When not working, Asa enjoys all outdoor activities, especially hunting and running his hound dogs. He also enjoys spending time with his family. We wish him well in his new position. When you see Asa around the hospital say hello and welcome him to the BMH family.
Chase Richmond is the new Accounting Assistant at BMH. He was also raised in Blanding, the son of Larry and Carol Richmond. He graduated from San Juan High School in 2014 and served a Mission for the LDS Church in Lima, Peru.
After his mission, Chase attended Utah Valley University for a year, and later attended Southern Utah University for a year. He is currently enrolled in the SUU On-Line program and is studying on-line to finish his degree in Accounting.
Chase and his wife Mikaila have been married one year. Mikaila is the daughter of Quinn and Stormy Palmer, of Blanding. When not working Chase and Mikaila enjoy outdoor activities like hunting, fishing and camping. They also enjoy spending time with their families.
We’re glad to welcome Chase to Blue Mountain Hospital and know he will be an asset to the hospital. Say hello and make him feel at home when you see him.
The new Facilities Manager at Blue Mountain Hospital is Jens Nielson, another Blanding native.
Jens is the son of the late Connie and Garda Nielson. He graduated from San Juan High School in 1983 and served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to Nashville, Tennessee. After his mission he worked for his family’s concrete business for many years and for a time at the White Mesa Mill, before going to work for the San Juan School District in 1997. He worked in the District Warehouse for fourteen years and at the Albert R. Lyman Middle School for seven years.
He and his wife, Jennifer, have five children – three sons and two daughters. Four of his children are grown and the youngest daughter is a sophomore in high school. Jens has also been the Bishop of the Blanding 7th Ward for the past four years.
We are happy to add Jens to the BMH family and know he will do a great job as Facilities Manager. Say hello when you see him and make him feel at home.
